Overview of Opportunity

New sales position within the Goodroot commercial sales team. The role requires self-driven activity from initial conversation through the complete sales cycle. The role is responsible for developing and executing a Territory Plan. Targeted clients include Employer Groups, TPAs and Brokers. As the sales lead across the multiple brands, you will determine the best approach to land and expand our products and services portfolio within each prospect/client. The role will partner with each affiliate’s teams on an as needed basis to ensure a seamless hand-off to Client Success for implementation and on-going management once a contract has been executed.

Success in the role will be measured by target achievements across the Goodroot Brands.

Core Responsibilities

  • Close new business across our portfolio of brands to our existing clients and to new prospects in order to obtain quota achievement
  • Effectively communicate the value propositions across the portfolio of companies within Goodroot
  • Build a large pipeline of prospective opportunities to ensure achievement of targets
  • Manage pipeline and forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage, track, and control all revenue generation activities
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, client success, marketing, finance, legal and others, to ensure success and performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their business
  • Self-motivated and results driven with creative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Strong work ethic
  • Aptitude for problem solving and the ability to determine solutions for customers using a consultative sales approach
  • Ability to maintain strong internal and external networks
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time supporting sales efforts, attend company sponsored meetings and industry event

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required

Experience:

  • 5+ years B2B sales experience
  • 2+ years experience selling to Employer Groups, TPAs, and Brokers
  • Consistent track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets in high growth environments
