Roles and Responsibilities
The Business Analytics Manager provides operational leadership and subject matter expertise in the area of healthcare payor and provider data and analytics functions, governance, and operations. The Manager will be responsible for the development and support of end-to-end analytics programs that support multiple business offerings. Key activities include leading assessment of data and analytics requirements and functions, developing and proposing services solutions, and leading data and analytics agendas designed to ensure operational accuracy and efficiencies, and high client success and satisfaction.
- Lead the development of analytics programs to meet emerging client and program needs, including strategy, operating model design, governance structures, data platforms and architecture, and talent acquisition.
Lead implementation of client engagements and analytics requirements, including functional roadmap and organizational or infrastructure enhancements to support client partnership agreements.
Lead the development of standard analytics program structures and operating models to enable repeatable and scalable results across a range of clients and product offerings.
Guide a team of analysts, developers, and subject matter experts to ensure a thorough understanding of client and program requirements leading to the delivery of high-quality engagements.
Act as a subject matter expert around health system analytics functions, operations, and governance.
Work closely with the organization’s sales teams, product teams, and growth officers to promote and drive analytical services and multi-year engagements.
Demonstrate the value of analytic capabilities for organizations interested in engaging with Penstock for a variety of payment integrity services.
Support P&L, building efficient, repeatable processes to deliver profitable growth.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

5+ years of healthcare payor and/or provider analytics, using Power BI, Tableau, or other industry-recognized data visualization tools.
5+ years of leadership experience at the Manager level or above within a provider organization, healthcare payer organization, and/or healthcare analytics firm
5+ years creating and working with databases, including database query languages such as SQL
3+ years of experience with healthcare claims data (medical and pharmacy) as well as multiple healthcare payment methods and experience with provider operational data.
3+ years of experience leading initiatives and projects.
Comfortable being an individual contributor.
Ability to work independently and manage workload.
Excellent writing, editing, interpersonal, planning, teamwork, and communications skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Must have access to secure, high-speed internet for a home office.
Must be able to work the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
Willingness to travel 25%
Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business, or Data Science.
Experience developing new business and managing client relationships in a consulting environment.
Ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing.
Ability to work on multiple client engagements.
Experience and credibility interacting with “C” level executives, including medical directors.
Experience managing a team of data analysts, with proven success to mentor, guide, develop, and grow the team.
